Lane Technician – Full - Time

Brooklyn Bowl, located in the LINQ Promenade in the heart of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip, has redefined the destination entertainment experience. Following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as “one of the most incredible places on Earth,” by Rolling Stone, we’ve stacked the deck for a truly unforgettable experience.

With three levels spanning nearly 80,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest music venues in America. Brooklyn Bowl integrates a premier performance venue, food by Blue Ribbon, bars which feature local craft brewed beers, and 32 bowling lanes which give guests a unique place to relax, eat, drink and watch a performance.

As a Lane Technician, you must exhibit excellent guest service while ensuring maintenance of the lanes, pinsetters, pins, bowling balls, ball returns, and all other related mechanical systems are operating at the highest level of efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Maintain and repair all bowling-related equipment.
  • Maintain and clean physical bowling lanes as well as preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain stock and requisition supplies for bowling equipment.
  • Inventory bowling-related supplies (i.e. balls, spare pins, cleaning supplies) on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain computer system(s) administration for bowling.
  • Maintain a safe and functional bowling experience.
  • Keep detailed records of parts, costs, and mechanical performance.
  • Assist with miscellaneous projects as directed.
  • Assists management in initiating smooth and efficient operations.
  • Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience.

 

Requirements

NON-PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year with Bowling Technical background required.
  • Previous experience in a bowling facility or in a maintenance tech position preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer operations and systems.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Must be comfortable with and adhere to all safety precautions when working with moving mechanical parts.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with managers, staff, and guests.
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in English.
  • Ability to communicate, work well with others, work in a high-volume, and sometimes stressful environment.

 

THE PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS LISTED BELOW ARE GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION.  THE ACTUAL EXERTION LEVEL (AND FREQUENCY OF USE) CAN AND DOES FLUCTUATE DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL TASKS BEING PERFORMED.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to move throughout the venue during the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift or move 50 - 100 pounds.
  • A good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, sit, crouch, and crawl frequently.
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Must be able to use body and arms repetitively.  Must be able to move between multiple levels using stairs.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with loud music, smoke and crowds for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift.
